“As driver trainer to a number of current Formula 1 drivers as well as leading contenders in the World Rally Championship (factory Ford, Mini etc). I am well versed in what is required to reach the top in motorsport. Unquestionably, Dan has all the natural attributes to achieve this.

Aside from mastering the required techniques to perform at the very top level which Dan is well able to do, he has another major gift and that is the personality and charisma to lead those around him in a positive direction. A team needs to want to get behind a driver and know it always has a chance of winning. This always proves to be an inspiration to those working with the driver. Dan Wells is capable of engendering that support.

With his natural talent and application to the task I would have no hesitation in recommending him to any potential sponsor or investor.”

Dan has won praise from many experienced and respected voices in the motorsport world. Here are the words of four who have witnessed Dan’s talent up close.

“Dan first impressed me whilst I was coaching rival drivers in the 2011 Formula Renault series and 2012 Formula PilotaChina Series. He has always managed to impress on a limited budget, so when I got the opportunity to work with him at Macau in 2013 I jumped at the chance in order to see what we could do together. I can honestly say that Dan is one of the most hard-working and talented drivers that I have worked with, both on and off the track. He’s very professional in his approach and always listens in order to correct if he needs to.

In Macau especially, very few drivers are able to do this, but with Dan, he did this on his first lap back out on track. This sort of dedication and commitment is very rare and I have no doubt that Dan will become a very successful driver in the future.”

“Dan has impressed me not only with his natural speed, but also his mental approach to racing. He is a highly talented driver who is going places. Dan has exceptional mental strength and can manage situations that will lead him to his goals which is essential in modern day motor racing”

''Overall Dan's performance on the simulator was very impressive. He is a very quick young driver, pleasant and enthusiastic in his driving. His quickest laptime was considerably faster than the reference laptime, this is an impressive result. He was also able to repeat this quick laptime to within 0.1sec on most laps, proving to be an exceptionally fast consistent driver.''

Audi R8 LMS Cup Engineer

"My name is Johannes Hierold and I was the race engineer responsible for overseeing Dan's first ever test in a GT car - the Audi R8 LMS Cup car at the Zhuhai Circuit in China. Dan completed two track sessions on the 12th February 2015, and left me feeling very impressed.

The lap time and data analysis shows that he found his rhythm and confidence in the new car very quickly. He demonstrated his talent by achieving the same minimum speeds as last year's top runners in the Audi R8 LMS Cup in the high speed corners. In the low speed corners, he was able to listen and apply my comments on his driving technique and racing line for the GT car very quickly, which is normally an issue with young drivers in previous years who are fresh from Formula cars into GT racing.

I have no doubt Wells is a potential front runner in the Audi R8 LMS Cup should he compete."
